I originally planned for this piece to be calm and zen. But before heading to the studio, a small moment of unexpected luck filled me with so much joy and gratitude that it changed the energy I brought into the painting.

Instead of soft, peaceful tones, bold reds, deep blues, and flowing gold emerged. The red represents passion and aliveness, the blue reflects life's uncertainties and challenges, while the gold symbolizes the unexpected blessings that appear along the way.

As the colours flowed together, I realized that a beautiful life is not one without storms. It is one where we embrace every moment, the highs, the lows, the surprises, and the joy, with an open heart.

“A Life That Smiles Back” is a reminder that when we live authentically and appreciate life's small blessings, life has a beautiful way of smiling back at us.
